Follow me on Twitter @teachergarr and check my website often for updates, reminders and information.
If you would like to receive a mark update and are not currently receiving one, please email me and I will add you to my list of contacts. Also, marks are available to students posted in my classroom by student numbers.
If you have specific questions or concerns about your child's progress in the class, please feel free to email me.
**Student absences: please notify the school and me if your child is going to be absent for an extended period of time. It is our policy NOT to provide work to students before they leave for extended holidays, and so it is the responsibility of students to catch up on missed instruction/assignments when they return.

English 8 2011-12. Very intense Silent Reading? Except for the few whose books are upside down. So funny ;)
"For there is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so." - William Shakespeare (1564-1616), Hamlet, II.ii
"To read well, that is, to read true books in a true spirit, is a noble exercise, and one that will task the reader more than any exercise which the customs of the day esteem. It requires training such as the athletes underwent, the steady intention almost of the whole life to this object. Books must be read as deliberately and reservedly as they were written." -- Henry David Thoreau, Walden
